Producteurs Plaimont & Celliers de Jean d’Alibert, Vin de Pays d’Oc, France
Two excellent co-operatives producing supple, fresh, fruit forward ‘benchmark’ wines bursting with southern French character and attitude. Our white is a blend of Ugni Blanc & Colombard from the Gascogne region, light, vibrant, clean and crisp. The red is sourced from the heart of the Languedoc and combines soft, fragrant very approachable Merlot fruit with a grippy, bitter cherry infused structure from the Tannat grape. The rosé is a crisp, elegant ‘Provence styled’ Cabernet/Gamay blend with medium bodied, summer fruits and a clean, dry and herb-infused finish.

Monbazillac, Chateau Septy 375ml bottle £19.45
Monbazillac is the biggest sweet wine appellation in the world, with five communes planted on north-facing slopes along the Dordogne River. The microclimate promotes the development of noble rot, and keeps acidity levels bracing enough to cut through the sugar.Château Septy is a blend of mainly Semillon topped up with Sauvignon & Muscadelle, – a fine balance of sweetness and acidity with a rich concentration of sweet, ripe fruit with a nervy, citrus zing on the palate.
